Damon Jones – President
After graduating
from ITT Portland in 1988 with a degree in
Electronics Engineering, Damon started his
career in the industry with ProMac Computer,
Inc. Over the next four years he provided
on-site and depot repair to the component level
on mini main frame, PC’s, UNIX servers and all
the peripherals. Working both in a management
and support role he was exposed to a wide
variety of technical and business venues.
During this time he continued his education in
the world of programming, both application and
operating systems as well as data extraction
and recovery techniques.

When ProMac was sold Damon left for an
opportunity to work at The Vancouver Clinic as
the IT manager. His main focus was to develop
an on site transcription program and to take
the clinic through a multi-million dollar
software conversion. The clinic at the time
supported more than sixty providers in
multi-specialties.
|
In 1994 Damon teamed
up with the original owner of ProMac and formed
ProMed Computer, Inc., serving as the VP as well as
lead technician. ProMed provided Value Added
Reseller (VAR) support for a number of medical
billing and clinical software packages. Damon
provided integration and support of UNIX and
Windows based servers, complex wide area networking
and data migration programming for an account base
of over 300 clients all across the nation. His "no
problem is unsolvable" attitude helped to grow
ProMed until his departure in 2004 when he left to
start his own support company. |
Phokis, Inc. was born with the mission to provide
high quality support to a select clientele. With
Damon’s extensive background in both the medical
and technology fields, Phokis has continued to
provide high end support to the medical and other
industries. “I am committed to my clients on a
personal level and feel this is the best possible
attitude for today’s technical support
world.” |
Personal interests include his family, off shore
fishing, scuba diving, back country snowmobiling,
and of course, technology. |
